Can someone PM me who

is interested in figuring out a mystery of why the val of my class got in over me, the sal of the class…

Maybe it’s just random, as you guys say or is there something more?

it’s unpredictable, and yes, there is luck involved, but it’s not random.

because there are more factors involved? because you actually have to ask this stupid of a question?

I think he’s asking us to PM him for the answer to why he wasn’t admitted…

umm, obviously there are tons of other factors as people say, but you’re confused as to why the kid with better grades than you got in and you didn’t?

Class ranking is not the only factor. My son wasn’t valedictorian or salutatorian because he took on less AP class than the valedictorian and won’t catch the other two (who tied for salutatorian) until the end of the year but rankings are determined after second trimester.

With that being said, neither of the other three scored above a 30 on their ACT and my son scored a 35. Who do you think deserved to be accepted where?

there is not gonna be any difference whatsoever between a val and a sal when dealing with admissions… its going to come down to everything else… so maybe you ask yourself how he/she presented his application better or simply was a better applicant than yourself.
