Can someone suggest something given my situation

I applied to Columbia University's Masters Program in Computer Science, about a month ago, I received an email from them saying I have been admitted and should expect a package.

Now it's been more than 1 month, I have in the past week:

1) emailed 3 different email addresses I could find on their websites (both the department's and the general grad school admissions), did not get a single response.

2) called 3 different phone numbers I could find on their websites, on average 3 times a day on each number. Two of them are always automatic greetings, the other I was able to get a person ONE TIME (who is the secretary of the computer science admissions , who referred me to one of the other automatic greetings number).

I am at my wit's end. What else can I do? Can I sue them?

I've never had much fun in dealing with Columbia's secretaries. Why not try the department chair or some of the professors you interviewed with?

If you happen to be an Asian girl, I could always go to them in person and pretend to be you ;)

You should do that anyway, that'll be a big surprise for them.

Go through their website and look up people anywhere remotely concerned concerned with graduate affairs under the personal listing or directory, call those numbers. Altenativelty call the general department staff and explain them ur situation, they should help.

saobi, Professor X, who frequents this board, is the director of a graduate school program. The Professor has explained that there is often lag time between the time you are notified of an acceptance and the time "the package" arrives. The department you applied to makes the admissions decision, but then forwards that information on to the Director's office. That office has to issue the "formal" acceptance. But it often takes them quite a while to send out all the formal information. If you received the email, you are in. Try to be patient.
