Can this improve my chances?

I am a white woman looking to go into physical sciences/mathematics. I'm looking to major in chemistry, physics or math. My future plans are to be a biomedical researcher. My question is: does this somehow "set me apart" or even act as a "hook" in terms of college admissions? I wrote my supplements all on how I was inspired to pursue my own research after an experience I had and how I know that is what I want to do as a career. I'm applying too mainly Ivy League schools, so would being a woman researcher help me at all?

just looking for some comfort lol thanks to anyone who can answer!!!

certainly you have an advantage when you say that you have a drive to be a researcher. Of course, more and more females are going into the math and sciences, like you and me. It really depends on the type of science you’re interested in, but as far as society goes, I think you’re in the right direction.
can you chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1586202-what-my-chances-will-chance-back.html
