Can transfer admission be revoked?

My transcripts loaded today, but I'm afraid it may be revoked because of my academic performance this final quarter.

I had a 3.4 gpa before this quarter and now I might end this quarter with a B in Calc, C in Chem, and and F in Chemistry. I went through a lot of personal trials and hardships this quarter, thus I could not focus on school.

I do intend to retake the chem class in the summer. However, I would like some input on my situation.

Thank you.

Call ASAP so that you can explain what happened and work out a plan with them, don’t wait until they get your transcript.

Should I wait until I get the decision letter?

What is your status? 4 year, CC with Associates or <90 credits? What is your major?

CC with associates and I’m a pre engineering major.

Hey Asolidum! This is not related to your post, but did you just apply as a pre-engineering major and no specific engineering major?

I applied as a pre engineering major and specified ME as my primary choice. I cannot apply to the department until fall 2013 because of lack of prereqs.

I would prefer if any other questions unrelated to my original post be messaged to me instead.
Thank you.

entomom is right on. you better call and tell them and see what they can/will do.
And if you will be rescinded, it’s better to know now and make a plan b.

I will definitely contact them asap, but should i wait until i recieve the actually acceptance letter before I contact them?

Is it 100% certain that i got in when my unoffcial transcripts have loaded?

Yes, you are in. You should get your letter today or tomorrow.

thank you seatac, i will contact admission today about my concerns.
Question: does the acceptane letter for transfers mention anything about possiblities of being rescinded if you do not maintain a certain gpa? I know that the freshmen acceptance letter mentions it.

Oops, sorry. I just assume that everyone here is from Seattle. So, if you aren’t from the Seattle area, it might take longer for the letter to get to you.

No, the letter didn’t mention anything about it. I didn’t see anywhere in MyUW also (other universities, I believe, mention that you should pass your classes with a 2.0 or higher)

I would assume that all the UW cares about is that you pass your classes. The F in Chemistry doesn’t look good, but if you are going to repeat it, it should be all right. I’m just not sure that if you need more Chem classes, you will be able to register for one for this fall.

Is there ANY WAY you can get a passing grade in Chemistry? Talk to the teacher, explain the situation, ask for an extra credit? And will you graduate with associates this quarter if you fail Chemistry?

Hardship withdrawl!!! Get a hardship withdrawl for that class and then retake it summer and tell uw asap!!!

You might want to do that for everything other than the B.

Seeing a 2.0 (C) is a scary thing. God willing I won’t ever see one.

hey guys just wanna update you guys, I was able to bring my C in physics to a B and I was able to bring my F in chem to a C. I got my acceptance letter today and i think everythings gonna be fine. thnx for all your input.

Congrats about that!
