Can UF kick me out for dropping an AP class?

I already dropped an AP class (the already completed first semester will count as an honors credit) and took a super easy class instead. I emailed UF FOUR times about the schedule change, but haven't gotten any response from them. This is so nerve-wracking; what if they'll "rethink" and kick me out? Do you think it is possible?

I'm in deep stress mode.

Depends. I don’t think so… but was this class listed on your application???

Yes, it is on my transcript.

If it is possible call (BY PHONE) to the Admissions Office and ask. For some reason, everyone hates to use their phones these days except for texting.

I dropped AP Lit for English IV in December or January and I e-mailed them. They responded that they’d added the updated info to my application file. I still got in.

Being that you’ve already been admitted, I highly doubt they’d rescind your acceptance at this point. It would have been a legitimate concern before decisions came out (it could have affected their decision), but it shouldn’t be anymore. As long as you let them know before they get your final transcript upon graduation, as then they’d be surprised and wonder where the AP class that you indicated you were in, and thereby was a condition of your acceptance, went.

Ir2010, do not judge everyone based on your son/daughter/brother/sister or yourself. I use all of the functions my phone provides.

They told me that kicking me out " is potentially possible", and that “at this point everyone’s acceptance is tentative”. At this point, they can’t guarantee anything. I have to wait until JUNE (!!!) because that’s when you’ll receive my final transcript.

Moral of the story: (1) If you’re a senior, do NOT dare to drop a class, even if you hate it with passion; (2) Always have a safety school.

As for me, the stress mode will continue for at least three more month.

I don’t think they will kick you out. My sister’s friend was in EXACTLY the same situation last year. She’s a sophomore there now
Don’t stress. There’s absolutely no reason to. You will be fine. Guaranteed!

I guess it varies by school. I spoke with a university of Miami admissions officer because I dropped 2 AP classes and he said it will absolutely NOT be a reason for reconsideration. The only reason they rescind is if you completely fail several classes.

Don’t email anymore. Call. And call a second time to speak to someone else because you can get different answers each time you call.

If you failed the classes then maybe
