I have my SOAR date scheduled for July 15th, and i noticed on MyCSULB that it says I can enroll for classes tomorrow (june 1st).

Can we really enroll in classes?
Or is there some sort of hold that will not allow us to add right now?

no, you cannot register yet. they will take the hold off when you attend soar

should we still put our courses in the shopping cart? My major requires specific courses to be taken concurrently and it’s all planned out for two years, so if I don’t get into those classes it kind of defeats the purpose of my concentration. Do the hold spots for the transfers? Just wondering because I saw that two of the classes I need already have a wait list.

i would say yes, put those classes in the shopping cart. and at least in my case last year, my major held spots in certain classes for transfers. so youll likely receive that information on your soar date.

@lakerfan

sorry, what do you mean by putting courses into shopping cart? when i registered for SOAR i could only see SOAR registration to put in the cart.

when you click enroll in the student center, then you can see all the classes. But unless you attend SOAR you can’t register for anything yet.

@op9no2 when you browse through classes you can click “add to cart” and then when you view your cart there is a button available to click “enroll.” I have not gone through SOAR yet, but I was able to choose classes and put them into the cart. I didn’t try to enroll because I don’t want to cause any problems with my account. The school I was at these past two years used the same enrollment services but because it was a JC it’s a little different with the academic records. Choosing to attend SOAR has nothing to do with the enrollment shopping cart. its just a service you pay for online like buying a transcript or parking permit.
