UC's say they want us to send all scores, and have a strict policy against Score Choice. When I went to see what would happen when I tried to use Score Choice on collegeboard.com, a warning came up when I unchecked one of my SAT reasoning tests, saying that UC has a policy against it. It let me do it anyways, but I didn't really want to push it. When I unchecked one of my SAT subject tests, nothing came up. Has anybody tried to do this? It seems to me that using Score Choice on the subject tests is okay, but reasoning isn't okay. Can anybody confirm this?

Huh? Didn’t the UC eliminate that policy? Correct me if I’m wrong, but SAT II’s are optional for UC’s now, meaning there’s no reason you’d have to report every single one.

Yeah, the SAT II’s are optional, but if you take them and send all your scores to the UC’s, they’ll be included in your score report. If you Score Choice them out, then they won’t show up, but UC has always had a policy against Score Choice, so I wasn’t sure whether it’d be allowed.

I can’t imagine them ever figuring out if you don’t list a score on the application and don’t send it, but if you’re feeling that anxious about it I guess it’d be a better idea to send all of them.

My daughter had one very low SAT Subject Test Score she didn’t want to send to UC. She didn’t see the point in sending it since SAT Subject Tests are no longer required. However, we were confused by UC wanting “all” scores. I telephoned UC two days ago. Their statement: we would prefer that students send all scores. However, if there is a low subject test score a student doesn’t want to send, they certainly don’t need to send it.

You can always email them with questions about sending all SAT Reasoning score. If they can’t answer in email, they give you a phone number to call. We got a quick turnaround in getting an answer about our SAT Subject Test question.
