Can we store our stuff on campus during the winter break?

<p>For winter break, you just leave everything in your room basically, because you don’t move. For summer, it’s a bit more complicated because there are some regulations on what you can store.</p>

<p>No you have to move out during winter break, though you can stay during thanksgiving and spring break (the dining halls are closed but the dorms are open). I believe that international students who aren’t going home over winter break are given hotel rooms at the marriot near campus.</p>

<p>I don’t go to Princeton. I am going to be part of the Yale class of 2014 (SCEA accepted). I have explained many times that I used to share this account with my best friend. This is why I have this username. There’s nothing I can do about it.</p>

<p>Goolschi - you mentioned international students are given rooms at The Marriot over winter-break if not going home, do you know if this is at extra cost to the student (and if so how much)?</p>

<p>SHawking: I don’t have the full answer for you but whatever the case, Yale is very cognizant of the financial constraints for some of its internationals. I’m almost sure they wouldn’t expect them to come up with 35 days of rental fees at a nice hotel. For that kinda money, they could fly you round trip back to your home country!</p>

<p>Yale is generous and well versed in taking care of its international students.</p>

<p>You leave everything in your room over winter break. Dorms do close though, and you cannot live there. There is a fire inspection so make sure to conver up microwaves and what-not.</p>

<p>Yale will provide housing if you have to stay over the 3 week break. They put up some people at the Mariott, I doubt with any extra cost.</p>
