come on guys…15 views already…I really need some help :(

Well, your EC’s look really good. Some good leadership roles there. Your grades are what stick out to me as your weakness. Are they bad? Not at all. But if you could step them up a little, it would help you a lot. Your test scores could use a boost, too. I would definitely try to get at least one in the 750+ range, 2 if you could. And also, I would say you don’t have a great shot without all the scores being at least 700. They look at Writing, so don’t brush it aside.

That being said, they place a high importance on essay’s from what I have read.

Your class rank will likely be submitted as part of your transcripts. Don’t worry about your SAT II scores, just don’t send them (unless you already did).

A few last questions: is your Weighted GPA on a scale of 5 or 6? Does your school have a rapport with Penn? Have kids gotten in there in the past?

And you said you were a junior. If Penn is truly your first choice, then apply ED next year. Applying ED helps your chances a lot (historically, Penn has taken about 50% of their class during the ED Period).

In short- improve your grades and test scores. If you can do that, then you have a reasonable chance of getting in. Keep in mind, just because you can get in, it doesn’t mean you will. I’ve seen plenty of people on here with great packages and 2200+ SAT’s get rejected. It comes down to sticking out in the admissions counselor’s stack of applications. Good luck!
