<p>i looked on the housing website and it said something like "we try to honor roommate requests as much as possible." so i think so.</p>
<p>YOu can certainly request to have a roomate. You and your roomate-wanna-be need to fill out the application in the same way: put each other's name on the form, list your housing preferences in the same order...etc. From experience, you almost always get your roomate request if you do it on time and properly (like I said above).</p>
<p>Second what Smallz3141 said. They're usually pretty good about that. If one or both of you don't put the request on your housing application I think you can still try to email them after that but your chances are slim so make sure you put it on your housing application.</p>
<p>I do not recommend new students to dorm with their high school friends. College is a time to meet new (and more interesting) people!</p>
<p>I agree with unlimitedx, especially because I hear stories that rooming with your friends can bring out the worst in each other, so many times you end up hating each other! :)</p>
