I don't know now if I can work my schedule to stay in the dorms during summer orientation or not. I won't know for another month or so. If I don't sign up for them now, will I have a chance to later on?

Sign up for it now.
Better to have a spot to cancel rather than scrambling for a place in the dorms during orientation.

Thanks, that’s what I thought. Better safe than sorry.

Definitely sign up for it now. The dorm space for each orientation will fill before the orientation session itself does.

Done and did. Taking all that time off work and summer classes is a bit much to ask of students. If I can get online classes, then that’s one stumbling block out of the way. I just hope I don’t lose my job taking off during the busy season.

You are much too young to be addicted to the paycheck. Orientation is fun and useful.

It is worth pointing out that you do not HAVE to go to orientation if you you can’t get to Austin in June or July or if you need the income from your job and you really can’t get a few days off. You can register for classes in the fall, just before classes start. This will probably give you a less than optimal schedule for fall, but hey, it is one semester of one year - you can survive a few 8 am or 5 pm classes.
