ahh...it was some country that borders germany...idk which one

The drinking age in Germany is 16. The only other country that borders the Netherlands is Belgium. The drinking age in Belgium is 16 as well. Therefore, it wouldn't be necessary to cross the border in the first place. Must've been in a different country probably.

Actually, that site has incorrect information. The state of New Delhi in India has a legal drinking age of 25, which is higher than 21 in US.

Justinian I :For example
Singular: John runs in the park(John is singular, thus needs a singular verb)
Plural: The boys run in the park (Boys are plural thus necessitate a plural verb)
Verbs that have an "s" at the end are singular
Verbs with no "s" on the end are plural
You are right, however, that book is singular, books are plural.
This, however, has nothing to do with subject verb agreement. Does this make sense?

Yea, it make sence :) thank you!

Scareya: Stay in Germany...there is no drinking age....If you come to the US...you can't drink until your 21...cough...like we all obey that law....and the copyright law

my teacher from the netherlands (i think) used to cross over to the german border every night to hit up the german bars with his buddies...if only a border was walking distance from NJ

The drinking age is not a problem for me, I don not drink ;)

A quick tip for message boards like these. Putting text in between "
[quote*]
" and "
" will turn put it into a seperate box. For example,
Hello!
[/quote*]
would show up like this:
Hello!
Which can make it easier to tell which text is yours and which isn't.

(Ignore the fact that I posted "
[quote*]
" and "
[/quote*]
" without the box showing up. I used a small trick that allows you to avoid that.)
hello
Did it work?

GyroidFanatic Thanks!!!
Did it work?
yes, it worked ;)

^^ Lol^^ :)

You forgot to add the "/" in the second set of parenthesis

Alissa...you can do anything you set your mind to do...You can get into harvard, yale, princeton....it's just a matter of time...and hard work...and effort.

Scareya you really encourage me! Thanks :)

hahaha this thread is hilarious. give her some rest until you can show me an average american kiddo being capable of speaking a foreign language flawlessly at age 15.

Alissa, meiner Meinung nach bist du mit 15 noch etwas zu jung, um dich um alle Einzelheiten zu sorgen. Den Bewerbungs-Prozess solltest du erst in der 12. Klasse angehen. Bis dahin, fang an an deinem Englisch zu arbeiten. Lies Bücher. Jede Menge Bücher. Schlag die Vokablen, die du nicht weisst, im Wörterbuch nach. Danach fang an, für die SATs zu lernen.
Viel Erfolg. Und immer lesen, lesen, lesen. Lernen, lernen, lernen.

cheers.
phil

Danke, bin am lernen dran, nur wei
