I've been accepted!! WOOHOO!!! very very happy, hehe...
anyway, can you all help me check out this scholarship package? i'm not very sure about what it means.
"Congratulations! You have been admitted to Lake Forest College for the
fall 2006 semester. We are impressed with your academic performance and
are pleased to invite you to participate in our Trustee Scholarship
Program. This is a highly competitive program with the opportunity to
receive a full-tuition scholarship. The tution for 2005-2006 has not
been determined yet, but to give you an idea of the scholarship amount,
the tuition for 2004-2005 is $24,096. If you are not awarded a
full-tuition scholarship (they are very limited), you will be awarded a
$19,500 Trustee Scholarship. The maximum amount offered to students who
are not qualified for the Trustee Scholarship is $18,000 US (annual)."
OK, this is what they emailed me. so does it mean that I've received, for sure, a $19,500 Trustee Scholarship and am only competing for the full-tuition scholarship? or is everything uncertain yet? I think it's the former but just want to confirm, hehe.
oh yeah good luck to everyone who haven't gotten their financial aid!

My name is Nick. I participated in the competition. I am writing this to ask if you did go to the competition? If you did, chances are we saw each other. If not, we didn't. I really enjoyed lfc during my visit, but haven't made any decision yet! Let me know if you went and what your name is...i'm curious!
Best of luck making a decision!

oh hi! u c, i'm an international applicant. i wasn't there so i couldn't have seen you. was there realy like a competition? i thought it's just you send in your essays and have your interviews and they make the decision. did you get an interview? was it face-to-face or by phone? mine was obviously by phone...almost died waiting for the call!
anyway, how was Lake Forest? i heard the neighborhood is really rich... i have a cousin in chicago and she told me that. i think i'll go, because the financial package is quite attractive.
anyway, call me Julie because you probably can't pronounce my real name, hehe. i'm a chinese living in singapore by the way.

there wasn't really a competition. i thought lake forest was just trying to market themselves to motivated perspective students. I will say that they did a DAMN GOOD JOB! i was impressed: beautiful area, interesting programs, great options, and nice people. The only thing i didn't like was how the campus felt like it sometime lacked energy (but that was between classes). u can e-mail me @ nmg375@yahoo.com if u have more questions. good luck with your decision!

Lake Forest... deceitfulness at its worst. You all probably meant to apply to Wake Forest. It's not too late, www.wfu.edu .

nope...in fact, i have to admit, i've only heard of wake forest after you've mentioned it.

heresy... HERESY!!!
