Can you satisfy the UC fine art requirement with an AP exam taken senior year?

Hi,

I'm a Junior in California and have not yet completed my fine art. My school will accept AP Art History through FLVS for graduation, but I heard that UCs will not accept Fine Arts classes taken online.

However, they will accept an AP score of 3 on the Art History exam.

If I take the exam senior year, will I still meet the requirement?

Thanks.

…you are off logic.

They take your score, but you still didn’t fullfill the Fine art requirement.
What’s the point?

^
You can fulfill the requirement with a 3 on the AP exam.

[University of California - The subject requirement](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/california-residents/statewide-path/subject-requirement/index.html)

oh, you do?.. hmmm, very interesting.
If so, then definitely a yes. Any pending score will do, as long as you don’t end up getting a 2 eventually (which will can result in rescinding the offer), then you are good.

^
Alright. So if I get accepted to any of them, will they like tell me that my offer is contingent on passing the AP exam?

Not necessrily. People who don’t fullfill the requirement can still apply, and can still be admitted (just a lot unlikely).

That’s think it this way : Your AP score is pending, just as other people’s senior last semester grade; anyone can fail their classes and get rescined, but they still are accepted.

So saying your offer is contingent on passing the AP exam is indiffrerent from saying others’ offer are contingent on maintaining their GPA.

So the answer is more than likely a no, they won’t tell you explicitely, but you known you better do it LOL.

Okay, thanks!

Can anyone give a second opinion?
