Hey guys im an upcoming junior and econ major. Im pretty late in choosing my major so it seems that i have to cram most of these required courses into my schedule. Or i could try to fit these in during the summer. If i take my last required course during the summer after my senior year, would i still be allowed to graduate with the rest of my class?

Depends on your school. At many schools, you are allowed to “walk” with up to 6 credits remaining, but at others, all requirements must be fulfilled prior to graduation.

What if you took the course the summer before senior year instead?

Most schools will allow you to walk as long as you’re registered for the coming summer to finish the required classes. That’s going to vary from school to school though. Your best bet would be to either look for the information on your schools website, or to call and talk to someone in admissions or counseling.

I’ve been trying to figure this out too. At my school, we’re able to graduate with our class ONLY if you’re able to take your classes in the summertime (if you have 6 units or less to fulfill).
