hey econ people, will I be ok if i don't take summer classes or will i be behind and have to take 3 years to graduate? (im a transfer student). I plan on doing study abroad the next summer too btw.

depends on your major, but typically as long as you take some quarters with 4 classes, you can easily finish in two years. (make sure your study abroad counts too)

no, but if you have nothing to do over the summer, why not take some summer classes just to give yourself some cushion at the end of your senior year.

i was thinking about doing summer courses so that i wouldn’t have to take more than 12u per quarter next year, and still be good for graduating. But honestly it isn’t that big of a deal. All this means is that i need to take like 16u for 2/3 quarters so i can graduate on time.

As far as your original question goes, it depends how many units you came in with. I came in with 66, (97.5q units) and i finish this last quarter with about 136.5, and you need 180 to graduate, so i’m short roughly 44 units.

so yeah, it all depends. Just talk with a counselor and they’ll tell you what to do.
