My mom bought a plastic storage box on wheels. Just curious if it will fit under the bed. It's about 8 inches tall.

I'm in Unit 2, Davidson.

The 8 inches should be fine, though it may be a squeeze.

I used bed elevators (or bed lifters) that lift your bed off an additional 6 inches so you can store more stuff. Target and other stores have them from 6.99 to 9.99 depending where you go.

However, you won't be able to arrange your desks against the window if you do that because the elevators take the crucial 1 inch space off the wall to allow your and your roommate's desks to line up against the window.

(I lived in Davidson my first year, 4th floor =)

This is assuming you are in a double. You won't have room in a triple.

the mini-suites have drawers (2) and a cube for books (or whatever) under the bed. You can still store behind that... and there's a dresser for each person (3 or 4 drawers, don't remember.)

vicissitudes: yup, should've mentioned that.

CA2006: Davidson is a traditional high rise, not a mini-suite.

eiffelguy: i am aware davidson is a traditional high rise, i was just throwing the comment out there before someone asked...

beds in unit 1 putnam have space of about 1"5' under the bed
