Can you take a Pre-Req Pass/No Pass at a CC?

<p>My daughter has submitted a TAG to UCSB for the Fall as a Comm Major. She is currently taking a Pre-Req Comm class that she is stressing about... and the professor is suggesting that if a student is on the edge of the TAG GPA requirements that they should take the class Pass/No Pass. I told her to check with her counselor...but does anyone know if can you take a major pre-req Pass/No Pass?</p>

<p>The intelligent parent that I am, I called the advisor at UCSB for Comm and was told as a transfer student they just look to see if the equivalent course was taken at a CC and if the course was passed…not the letter grade…so Yes, it is OK.</p>
