I'm currently in grade 10, or a sophomore in high school. I want to go to Cornell because it's such an awesome and beautiful school!

I'm not sure what I want to go in yet, perhaps engineering.
I'm an International Baccalaureate student and I want to go outside of Canada for undergrad.

But since I'm Canadian, will it be harder for me to get in? Will the outrageously high tuition fees be worth it? Would financial aid be an option? Or should I just go to some Canadian university?

Thanks!

I am a Canadian student who completed IB myself. I am now a senior.

I believe my year was the last year that CU was need-blind for Canadians, after my year, they switched to need-aware for Canadians.

That means that if you are applying for Financial Aid, yes, you will be put into a more competitive applicant pool and have a harder time of getting accepted compared to US residents and citizens.

If you do not apply for finaid, then you are not disadvantaged relative to an american.

Whether it’s worth it or not is up to your personal circumstances. What career field do you want to go into? Where do you want to work afterwards?
