Canadian Student Taking SAT & ACT's?

So I know that I can do them both but the thing is I heard a lot of schools do SAT prep class at their school.

I'm just wondering if this will be a huge disadvantage for me?

Should I, as a student entering grade 11, currently be doing anything other than looking over practice questions for the SAT & ACT's?

Plenty of people are not presented with the opportunity to go through SAT/ACT coaching, and still manage to do fine. IMO anyone with the right motivation can self-study. Just work through the practice tests in the Blue Book (SAT) and the Red Book (ACT), utilize other resources recommended on College Confidential, and you’ll be fine.

I did go to an ACT prep course, but I don’t feel like it did anything for me except make me practice more. I would suggest going over practice books and figuring out which types of questions you need to work on. Maybe look up SAT vocab

A lot of people I know get higher scores than people who go to classes. depends on yourself

im Canadian and taking in sept, after a 29 in feb. You dnt need a class. For english, get ACT 36, assuming you know basic grammar rules, this book will help u get to the next level. And pm me for math, I got 35, too lazy rite now.
