Canadian student wanting to transfer to USC or UCLA

Hey guys I'm a Canadian student with aspirations of transferring to USC or UCLA for Fall 09. I took a gap year and am starting my Freshman year at the University of Toronto (Mississauga campus) this September. The university of Toronto is a well respected school in Canada and I will be studying Communications there. My high school grades were average..B's..a couple A's, and a C in Math (data). I know I have my work cut out for me to say the least...and I will do anything in my power to give me a good chance of getting accepted. What do you guys think I'll have to do in order to get accepted as a transfer? Am I going to need a near perfect GPA? The most important thing I need to know is which courses are transferrable. Will USC/UCLA give me an articulation list of transferrable courses? I called them (USC) several months ago inquiring about something else and they seemed pretty rude over the phone and didn't want to waste their time on me... but this seems warranted since they are suck a great school with a high profile...and they have tons of potential students that probably call making inquiries everyday. They won't return my emails, but I need to choose my courses for first year soon preferably within the next week. I spoke to the transfer office at my school and said they were unable to get this information for me..and I had to find out directly from USC or UCLA. I posted here because this seems like a very helpful forum and there is only so much transfer information I can read on USC's site without getting a bit lost and confused. It has been my dream to attend either USC or UCLA since I was about 13...I screwed up the opportunity that my parents presented me back in high school, but hopefully it's not too late to turn my dream into a reality. Thank you in advance

UCLA is going to be virtually impossible.

yeah I checked their admittance for international transfers and every year about 100 apply and either 1-2 or none get accepted. Is there any reason UCLA is harder to transfer to than USC? I was always under the impression that USC is slightly harder to get into compared to UCLA. With that said...how hard do you think it'll be for me to get into UC-Irvine?

hey gp89, i'm almost in the exact same situation as you. i'm trying to get as much information as I can but i'm having difficulties. let me know how it works out for you

"Is there any reason UCLA is harder to transfer to than USC? "

Its a state school 1st priority goes to cali residents, if your out of state you have to very special to get it. UCI and UCR will be easier to get in.

there are plenty of transfer students with c's who get into usc.
