Cancel other apps?

for those accepted, are you guys cancelling your other apps or what? or what about those ones that are half filled, just abandoning them… because your at PENN!!

I basically completed apps for Brown and NYU and I have the common app done too...I'm just going to pretend they never happened, haha. I don't think there's any way to delete them and after the deadlines pass I don't think they'll still think that I'm applying anyway.

Yeah... I have to withdraw my University of California (Cal, LA and SD) applications. Doing that right now... haha actually I'm on CC right now... this is getting really distracting... but whatever. I sent in Part 1 of my MIT application but if I don't send in Part II I think they will assume that I'm not interested anymore. I also had my Harvard, NYU and MIT applications to send out just in case the worse happened. hahah thank God!

I would definitely write to the schools where I actually interviewed, even though I never completed the app. It would probably be right to write a brief email to any school that has already opened up a file on you as well, but I bet many people don't.

i dont think so....i have accounts in many online app sites but i will never submit them now and i feel no need to tell them to close my account or anything seeing as most colleges are probably too busy with other things.

honestly, if you get accepted into your dream school, try not to apply to other schools. it'll only take chances away from other people who haven't gotten into a school.

does anyone know how to withdraw a UC app??? I've been calling all day and they won't take me off hold! Do I just e-mail or what?

In my HS weekly newsletter, guidance dept. says to withdraw any apps even partially submitted through the guidance office.

I e-mailed the central UC Schools Admissions office. Their e-mail is: UCAP ApplicationInfo ucinfo@ucapplication.net. State that you would like to withdraw your applications to all University of California Schools you applied to (I listed them too). Give them your application ID number (this can be found on the confirmation letter they send you via mail). Yeah and thats pretty much it. I didn't bother to call, I e-mailed them and they gave me directions as to how to withdraw apps.

So you just email to withdraw applications from the UCs?

yes, you just e-mail them, and they should confirm your withdrawal by e-mailing you back.

Ive sent in a letter of withdrawal to columbia.. and i had like almost finished my other apps.. so just leaving them as they are!! IM IN PENN!!!

but even if uve just submitted PART 1 of ur application.. withdraw that.. cause ur officially considered an applicant..
