Cancel sat 2 Chinese?

I took the chinese test today and did not do very well. Prob got 4 wrong(stupid grammar) so 800 is def out of question. This isn't one of my main subjects, I only took it to waive language req and for huntsman. but since I'm an abc will it look bad that I didn't get 800?

No, as long as your score was 750+, you’ll be fine. No need to cancel your scores just because you got below 800.

Well the curve is apparently really harsh, so I’m not sure if I’m gonna make it above 750. The blue book had 4 wrong = 800, but people say that more than one wrong kills your score. Did anyone who took the test today think the usage portion was tough?

I took the Chinese today and I thought the usage/grammar part was ok… It was the reading/listening that killed me.

For #80, did you put airline company or travel agency? Or something completely different? >_<
And what was the best part about the sweater that Mr. H liked?

As for the listening, the 1st question of part 2, what was the thing the guy wanted? I couldn’t identify the term… ;-;
And for part 1, some guy said that he does not like Chinese class, girl asks why and the answers I was struggling with were:
b) Too much homework
c) Chinese characters are hard to write

What did you put?

And what usage/grammar did you think you got wrong?

Umm for 80 I think it was travel agency. Mr h liked the style. The guy wanted a book. He was actually referring to English class so it was too much hw. For usage I got the question on the guy having red face wrong, the tv show one wrong, and the two words having similar pronunciation wrong. I also don’t know about the one talking about how the guy didn’t have much time in the past month.

Oh god, I got the book wrong and the English class. --; I honestly put book down but I heard ji so I thought it was some electronic device I didn’t know the term of :X
And did it really say English class? I should of more attention to that question… I actually played it twice and I still got it wrong. TT

Ah for the usage ones, I’m not sure what the answers are for them since I kind of forgot the answer choices x_x But yeah, the red face was kind of tricky, I think I was stuck between qi or zhe or something else…

Already 2 wrong, sigh… Hopefully the curve isn’t as harsh as you heard it was >_<;

did anyone remember there being any c’s for the last 5?

Does anyone know what 5 wrong would correlate to on the scaled score thing? I’m highly thinking cancelling… T__T

i think five wrong would be at least 730…it was pretty trickyyy.
im praying for a good curveeee ><

don’t worry, the curve is much better than you’d think
-5 may still be a 780
Did you guys get “take the elevator to the 7th floor” or something like that for question 18 in listening?

for the dentist office one, did you guys get that it closes between noon and 2?

^that was the answer

yea…anyway…anyone remember any c’s at all for the last 5 -_-

what did you guys put for the one about the dad who was a famous tennis player…?

There was one where the dad was a famous tennis planner? O.o
which one was that?

Crap, maybe my Chinese is a lot worse than I thought, but wasn’t there a grammar question where it talked about sports and somebody’s dad being famous?

Haha, I’m not sure. I remember there was this random question about a tv show and people going crazy over it.

Crap I f***ed up so bad on the reading, especially near the end. I skipped about 5 and guessed a couple. Does anyone know how that and the curve affects possible score?

While taking the SAT, you endured copying in cursive (Oh the pain!) and signing a Certification Statement, swearing to follow the CB rules. One of those rules - not to discuss the test questions. Should you decide to violate your oath, the ETS/CB may chose to entertain an unspecified course of action against you.
Proceed at your own risk.

I had trouble with the similar pronunciation problem too. What was the answer for that one?
