ABOUT ME
- Native Southern Californian
- Transfer Student from CPP
- Major: Linguistics
- Makes friends easily
- Active lifestyle (both fitness & always being on-the-go)
- I have done a lot of modeling, which I’d like to continue, but I’m least familiar with the SD region & spend a great amount of time in LA, but worried that LB is geographically-challenging despite being in LA
** INTERESTED IN**
- Energetic campus
- Quality education, preferably best program for my major
- Possibly on-campus housing IF a single bedroom is possible. Would consider a Double in a suite with its own bathroom &/or kitchenette
- Ability to get necessary classes (GEs complete, but electives may possibly be considered a GE)
- Lots to do on campus
- Classrooms that are at least not too old feeling/outdated
- Easily adding a Minor or a Double Major, if feasible
** If you have attended, please tell me some PROs & CONs, details of your experience between students or professors, & any info that you think can help. **
NOTE: These are only 2 of the CSUs that I was accepted to, waiting to hear from another csu and the UCs. I am not concerned about the cost of tuition. Housing costs are only a concern if I am paying a large sum for a residence that I don’t like.
Energetic campus - in my limited time on both campuses - SDSU by a landslide. LB still feels like a commuter campus.
- Quality education, preferably best program for my major - this one is probably a toss up.
- Possibly on-campus housing IF a single bedroom is possible. Would consider a Double in a suite with its own bathroom &/or kitchenette - i think SDSU has a lot more on-and campus adjacent housing. As i recall, LBs large dorms are actually off the campus.
- Ability to get necessary classes - probably a toss up
- Lots to do on campus SDSU by a landslide.
- Classrooms that are at least not too old feeling/outdated this one is probably a toss up.
- Easily adding a Minor or a Double Major, if feasible this one is probably also a toss up.
I’d lean toward SDSU because it seems to better check you boxes.
Congrats and good luck.

Thank you for your response
Did you attend both colleges momentarily or just visited them
One of my son’s was wait listed at LB a few years ago, So, we toured the place and hung out on campus for while they kept him in limbo - I remember it being eerily quiet for a school day. I have family in the SD area, and were there a couple weeks ago (just before things shut down for the Covid crisis.) We’ve got several neighbors who attended both so, my impressions are pretty fresh and echoed by people I trust with deeper exposure.
I’d walk the campuses and neighborhoods near both now - Even closed, you’ll find students in the area you can talk to - from a respectful distance of course. I guarantee it will be easier to find SDSU students than LB.
Yes, I really want to find friends who attended to tour their schools with me, otherwise I’ll go solo or with local friends who just wanna hangout.
Definitely helpful tips thanks again
