Hello everyone. I've read threads on this site before that were very helpful so I figured I should post and see what I get here.

Well I'm 20 years old and can't decide between Electrical Engineering and Accounting. I went to UConn for 2 years and got kicked out for a low GPA (GPA overrall was a 2.3 but my last two semesters there had a cumulative GPA of 1.5 which got me nixed). My major at the time was either Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (kept changing). I don't care much to do higher level programming anymore so I've written off Computer Science as a potential choice.

After I got kicked out I went through some things, considered Psychology for a major and after I took a Community College psych class it stopped appealing to me. I then read up on Business and Accounting and I do have an interest in finances/economics and how businesses use and manipulate them so that's how I got to my current major choice. I've been in the program at my CC for a year now, I've held a 4.0GPA each semester and this summer, but I'm now having second thoughts. I find myself still very interested in computers, networking at the lower level specifically, and I honestly wouldn't mind giving Electrical Engineering a second shot. However, I'm very close to getting a Bachelors in Accounting, only about 1.5 years off..possibly a year if I went all in. If I changed to EE I'd be at least 2 years off getting my degree, realistically 2.5 possibly 3 worst case.

Now I know I probably won't get an answer to my major dilemma (pun not intended) from this thread, but the immediate issue I think can get solved is the final class I sign up for this semester at CC. I applied for graduation at my CC for the winter and I'll be transferring to George Mason. However, I see that the Community College has a Calculus 2 course taught by a teacher with a high rating on ratemyprofessors that could put me in a better position down the road if I do decide to switch majors (I took Calc 2 at UConn but withdrew about a year ago because I was failing/being a bum).

However, I also could take a Business class that would cut down 1 more major requirement for my bachelors at George Mason. Furthermore I don't know if I should transfer into George Mason as a Business major if I might switch to Engineering since that could be a big hassle. I can't decide whether to plan for a potential future switch to Electrical Engineering or to go full steam for Accounting and hope the itch for me to do Engineering goes away.

I'm sorry if this is long and confusing, I kind of jumbled my thoughts together when writing and hopefully I explained things well enough to paint the picture. Thanks for reading.

PS I'll be posting this in the Business and Engineering majors forum. PLEASE DON'T THINK I'M SPAMMING! It's partly because I'm not sure where I should post this and also because getting opinions from both sides might help me sort it out
