Who’s taking a CAP course? I’m in CL0112.

Looks like I got screwed out of mine - Biotechnology in Medicine. Does anyone know if you're allowed to take a CAP and a First-Year seminar? Both EN0003 and CG0010 look really good to me, and if I had the option, I'd take both.

Augh, I got completely screwed over and didn't even get a CAP course. I'm wondering if I should try to get into one that's still open or just not take a CAP course. Isnet, you can do both CAP and FYS, but people with CAP courses are given priority for FYS selection.

Do you mean people without a CAP course are given priority for FYS?

Yeah, sorry, that's what I meant.

I got my last choice CAP course, and I selected five courses! I'm still happy with my CAP course-it's just that I would have preferred my others. To those of you that didn't get a CAP: did you select multiple CAP courses?

Yeah, I picked four. I think I'm going to go w/o a CAP course since I really want to get into a good FYS and I'm not really interested in the remaining CAP courses.

CAP courses are just regular courses except the prof's your adviser. There really isn't anything special about the courses themselves.

the mailing with your assigned CAP course came out?! when? i selected mine by the deadline but didn't get the actual CAP course mailing [waitlisted thing i think].

good to know also that people w/out a CAP course are given FYS priority...

did anyone get the course announcement/fys mailing yet? or can you tell me when you do?... thanks

"good to know also that people w/out a CAP course are given FYS priority..."

Are we sure about this?

Quick question: Why is the ID number on the green card/CAP assignment different from the one that was on the tuition statement?

Yes, that's what it says on my letter.

It is the same number, there's just some extra numbers in front that are prob. the same for most students so they don't bother putting them on everything.

Intro to Neuro was the only CAP course I wanted, so I won't be too bothered if I don't get it.

Same here and I didn't get it. :P Just to clarify what's the point of an FYS? Do we get advisors for these? I doubt it, but just clarify for the lazy illiterate person.

I got my first choice, Urban Studies 21--The City: Introduction to Urban America.

I was thinking about taking that as a regular class ^^^

did all of you guys, who received letters telling that what courses you're assigned to, get the actual course selection forms as well?

Yes, I did.

I suppose int'l students are getting the registration forms a bit late... btw, what's the maximum number of courses that we can take per semester? 5?

But DO NOT do that your first semester. For the love of God.
