Car Insurance

How much do you pay? Especially those of you in the 16-20 year old female range, but I'm interested in anyone really. Just trying to estimate how broke I'm going to be when i have a car :)

I can tell you that I added my 17-yo son to a 1997 Buick today. His 6 month premium is $323.98. They gave something like $125 discount for grades of at least B average. We're in Florida by the way.

Wow it's $1350 (w/ discount) here for a year.

This is one of the few reasons California sucks--because I'm not allowed to drive. :(

In Kansas City, for me (a 17 year old male) it's about $750 for 6 months.

$1500. annual to add me. Just remember that you can have minimum or greater coverage on liability. It is very expensive.

owwwww.
so expensive.
I hope mine is closer to the $350/6 months figure than the $750 one, but it doesn't seem too probable.
i guess i'll just have to resign myself to never having money again.

Mine was 500/6 months but it's dropped now to 200/6 months [license for a year, >b+ average, no accidents/tickets/moving violations, and the car - volvo 850].

:)

I'm paying roughly $1350 per 6 months, and I live in California. What is sad is that I've had a spotless driving record as well as good grade discounts since I started driving.

Next year (as long as my record stays clean) my rates will drop, since I'll have been driving for the last 5 years with nothing on my record.
