Sucks being a young guy, we get raped by insurance companies.

Yeah you're paying a lot because of your car. I have a SUV and mine is like $60-70 a month. I have the good driver discount, multi-car discount (I think that there may be another one because we have EVERYTHING insued with them), and good student discount. You might try calling your insurance company and see if taking a driving class will help lower your rates. My insurance offered a discount for watching a video about drinking and driving and being distracted. I also had to take a driver improvement class (so the ticket wouldn't go on my record) and they offered a discount for that.

don't complain.....foreign students get raped the most when it comes to insurance. I tried getting a quote for a small car (chevy aveo or SMART) and the average I received was $2500/6months

My daughter, who is 18, less than $200 for a 96 chevy (includes good student discount). (<$400 a year)

My son, who is 21, over $300 for a 96 Lincoln. (>$600 a year)

Both liability only (and for 6 months).

Hers was hundreds less from the day she got her license at 16. He is a very good driver - always has been. So the difference seems unfair. Hers has dropped yet more. She has not had a ticket yet while he has so that may be why hers has dropped more.

95 Toyota for 19 year old son (one accident, 3 years ago=2600/year
07 Honda (mine) Good driver discount = 1200/year
02 Minivan Ford Good driver discount= 800/year

I can't wait for my 15 year old to turn 16 and start paying for him--LOL

1995 ford thunderbird. no collision coverage. $2455/yr, about $215 a month. it would be lower but i got into a "serious accident", am only 17, and thus had a $600 surcharge added.
