CAR/Plaza questions (please help)

So my housing offer was a triple in Hedrick Summit.

I was happy that I got a plaza, but dissatisfied with the location and two (instead of one) room-mates.

I just accepted the offer and am thinking about filing a CAR. I was wondering though, what plaza do people generally think is the best. When I toured and talked to a few of my friends that are now sophomores at UCLA, they told me De Neve was the place to be. Any other opinions? I know Hedrick is nice because it is one of the newly opened plazas. I have also heard that is one of the less social and more isolated buildings, which worries me. So, has anyone heard which plazas are the best?

Also, the CAR has three different options for you to fill in for your requested change. I was wondering if there are only four possible outcomes: your current offer, or any of the three you select on the application. I definitely do not want to submit a CAR if it could potentially mean my request is rejected and I lose my current offer.

Thanks for your help!

To be honest, unless you’re socially ■■■■■■■■ and need to have people on your floor to have a “social life”, then go ahead and move to a more “social” place. I had the same worries at beginning of this year, but I realized that I get so busy with other things that the only time I’m in my room is when I need to do work or I want to have alone-time in my room.

I think Summitis one of the better buildings, since most returning students choose rieber vista/terrace, and they generally keep to themselves. So most of your floor in Summit will be first years.

Just my two cents

I’m in the same situation…wondering if I should try to switch to De Neve from Hedrick Summit. Hmmmm…
