Career in Gene Therapy

<p>I plan on pursuing a career in genetic engineering--I would specifically like to work on gene therapy.</p>

<p>What should I be majoring in at college in order to pursue this career?</p>

<p>My guesses:</p>

<p>Molecular biology</p>

<p>Bioengineering</p>

<p>Bioinformatics (if available)</p>

<p>Gene therapy is specialized enough that any bio/biochem/bio-something (not ecology though) will prepare you to do a PhD or masters in a genetics program.</p>
