So I was recently offered admission to Carillon Communities for the fall 2018 semester. My major is Undecided (Letters & Sciences). I don’t know much about Carillon, except for what’s on the school website. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with the community?
Thanks!
I was just accepted to Carillon Communities too! I got into the Business School so I’m in the Entrepreneur and Business Community. I have a friend currently in the program who told me it’s great because you get a good dorm (with AC) and it helps you get to meet people and familiarize yourself with a group when you first get started on campus. First semester requires a class (that’s said to be easy), but you end up living with the people in the community for both semesters. Seems cool, nice that we’re guaranteed a good dorm. Definitely can’t complain
@bmoreboy30 hey, I just checked Easton Hall’s location and it looks close to a major road and far from the main buildings of campus. does your friend find either of those things to be annoying?
@abc201822 - Easton is an awesome location for football games, events at the Clarice Smith Center for Performing Arts and is convenient to Cole Field House, the Stamp, and relatively convenient to the mall (open area in front of McKeldin library is referred to as the mall). There are also several classroom buildings at that end of campus - Benjamin, Tawes, the art building, architecture, etc.
