I'd just like to hear some reactions. Trying to decide where to go..am leaning towards Bowdoin but you can change that!!

Have you visited Carleton? Nobody should rule out Carleton without a visit.

I have the same decision to make, I am goin to visit Bowdoin Experience and CArleton Accepted Students Weekend to decide.

hmm. Does Carleton have an IR or Political Science major? Because Bowdoin doesn't have IR majors or political science major. But then again, what do you DO with an international relations or political science major?

if I go bowdoin i will probably go government/legal studies / or pre-law or go neuroscience..cause it sounds cool.

Carleton does not have an IR major but it does have a hybrid major of poly sci/IR. Although Bowdoin's poly sci program is ranked higher, Carleton offers WAY MORE poly sci courses that concentrate on many more areas than Bowdoin's.

Carleton, if I recall correctly, has both IR and political science. I know it has the latter, at least. Both are, actually, very common routes to law school or grad school.

It also has a neuroscience interdisciplinary concentration.

Carleton has an IR major. It's one of the most popular majors on campus. It's called poli sci-IR because there isn't a separate IR department.

Carleton also offers an awesome study abroad program in Maastricht, where you get to intern at the EU.

I'd rather live in Maine than Minnesota...
