<p>As the title implies for CAT 1 requirement? Im on da waiting list for carlisle, but there are some openings for strauss that i can use. I heard somewhere that carlisle is a better prof than strauss, and time is running out, so whats your opinion? Im 1st on da waiting list btw, if that makes a diff. Should i change to strauss while i still have some time, or stick with carlisle cuz it may open up?</p>

<p>john, if you're number 1 in that wait list it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll get in.</p>
<p>drath, it's definitely doable, just a little rough. make sure you get enough studying in though. A lot of people I've talked to end up studying much more for the first final they have that day and neglect the second final; just make sure you study for both ahead of time.</p>

<p>People might not drop out of the class, but they will drop out of a section of that class due to schedule changes and other reasons.</p>
<p>But if you're that worried about it then don't wait list; I wouldn't be worried though.</p>
<p>i was number one on carlisle's waitlist winter quarter last year and never got in. i remember there were so many people who waitlisted that they sat on the floor in the front section of the lecture hall and he had no space to move. if you do get in, expect a lot of work. hes a really good prof, funny and interesting but does expect a lot from his students. my first quarter with him we literally had a paper due every week. no joke.</p>

<p>Yeah, be very aware that CAT is required, so chances of people dropping are slim.</p>
<p>OMG. I dont know what to do. I have to take either waitlist for Carlisle or just take Strauss, but I dont know. Carlisle had really good comments at ratemyprofessors.com but Strauss had really bad comments....

<p>(-_-).... I have no choice now, either wailist strauss, or waitlist carlisle. The other times dont work for my schedule, and it was hard enuff finding a schedule that worked, and most likely the other classes are on waitlists too. =(... well c wat happens.</p>
<p>What happens if we cant get into CAT class this quarter? will we be behind, can we start next quarter? i signed up for intro to art 3d, just so i can have my 12 units. any1 take this class b4 that can give me tips. If space opens up in da cat class ill drop this for sure, but if it doesnt, well ill have to keep it.</p>
<p>if for some reason you can't take cat this quarter you can take it next year when they offer it for the next freshman class.</p>
