How is the reputation of this undergrad business program?

I was accepted there and am choosing between UMN Carlson School Of Management, University of Maryland (smith school of business) and instate Virginia Tech (pamplin school of business)

I will have to pay
~20k total per year to go to VT (business program rank 51)
~25k total per year to go to UMN (business program rank 41)
~40k total per year to go to UMD (business program rank 35)

What should i do? Carlson scares me because it is far away from home and I am not sure how I would do here. Is that atmosphere very challenging?

My husband and I graduated from Virginia Tech and think it is an amazing school. Our son has been accepted to Pamplin at Virginia Tech and also Carlson at Minnesota.

We are from the east coast but have lived in the midwest since 2000. It’s a great place to live! Our son is going to Minnesota because it has a better business school than Virginia Tech.

You have to decide for yourself. Tech has a great small college town atmosphere and is close to home. Minneapolis is a large city, but the campus is also beautiful (maybe not quite as beautiful as VT), but offers many opportunities.

Being close to home or trying something new is an important decision. The people in the midwest are amazing! You will feel welcomed.
