<p>hey! I’m applying to tepper ED1 too! Your SATs seem to be on par but your GPA not so much. But that CMU professor recommendation is awesome and i think that might get you there. Good luck!</p>

<p>Honestly, I’d want my parents to be disappointed in me. They’ve invested so much time and money to my studies and all my extra-currics. They let me do what I want to, when I want to, as long as I keep my grades up. </p>
<p>They’ve put so much hope in me that I would feel even worse if they sympathized.</p>

<p>The decision letters were mailed either yesterday or today.</p>
<p>@programmerguy wait how do you know they were sent today or yesterday?</p>
<p>A previous post stated that the CMU admissions office responded to an email that said that online decisions would be online on the 15th or the 16th. Since online decisions are posted 3 days after the decisions are mailed out, that means the letters were mailed either yesterday or today.</p>

<p>I regret taking Diff Eq at Pre-C now. I don’t think making a 64.9 in that class helped my admission. Haha. Oh well.</p>

i was in the calc class but got bored and decided “why not challenge myself?” XD </p>
<p>my gpa is a 3.5 uw :c sat is a 22xx, so a little low for scs. 800 and 770 sat 2s. bomb ecs but idk if those can save me…sooo probably deferral >.>; unless i get really lucky with the gender card lol</p>
<p>The admission lady who came stressed GPA and ECs more than anything else. I guess CMU is one of those schools that assumes SATs and the like are already ready. I saw a nice anecdote somewhere (might even be this forum) about how GPA and SATs are a way to initially gauge applicants, then essays and ECs solidify their status. </p>
<p>What is this madness? I’m speculating on a college forum the night before my final. Tsk tsk.</p>
