Do companies still acknowledge econ majors from CMU because they are part of Tepper? </p>
<p>CMU economics courses appear to be more math-intensive than at many other schools, so majoring in economics there, and taking advanced math courses like real analysis, should be fine for preparing for PhD study in economics. Whether that matters to you if your goals are more pre-professional is another story.</p>
