<p>I also got the email earlier this evening. Whenever I tried to sign up for orientation, it gave me an error message when I selected the pay by check/money order option. I called the service desk, and they said they would make a ticket and get back to me… Did anyone else get this error message? :/</p>

<p>@allenj5793: Same happened to me, but when I went back and clicked up the form it had it submitted and said that I clicked the “pay with money order /check” option like 9 times. So it did go through, the site was just being funny</p>

<p>As a staff member in the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid, I am happy to respond to your inquiries. There will be a full calendar of fall events scheduled for Carolina Covenant Scholars and we will explain these in both the Summer and Fall Orientation sessions. You will receive lisserv messages from Fred Clark (fred<em><a href=“mailto:clark@unc.edu”>clark@unc.edu</a>) and Michael Highland (michael</em><a href=“mailto:highland@unc.edu”>highland@unc.edu</a>), academic and social program coordinators later this summer which will give you dates for all planned activities. From time to time with new technology we have site difficulties and the student who reported the Orientation site to our IT staff responded appropriately. I will also notify the Orientation staff that the site has not been consistent. If anyone is unsure of their Carolina Covenant status or their laptop grant status, please send an email to <a href=“mailto:aidinfo@unc.edu”>aidinfo@unc.edu</a>, and our office staff will be happy to research your unique questions and reply promptly. <p>Also, uou will not receive a book voucher as a Carolina Covenant Scholar, however you will have the option to preorder your books and charge them to your student account through the University bookstore. You must make sure your financial aid award covers books before you charge them to your University Cashiers account. If you need individual help to determine what your award covers, the Student Aid office staff will be available at the summer Orientations to answer your questions.</p>
<p>It asks for your student store account number, which we don’t have yet. Will we eventually recieve an account number to access our fin aid when its disbursed, b/c the book preorder deadline is July 31</p>
