Has anyone heard yet about the Carolina covenant? Or any updated financial aid? When I first did FAFSA it was with estimates but my mom's income was quite a bit lower this year when we actually filed the taxes. However the tax transcripts still are not available. Do you think I'll get an updated package before May 1st if I can't send those in? I did go in and update FAFSA manually. Any help would be wonderful :)

Take a look and see if your package was updated today. The no loan packages appear to have been reflected in the award notice. Assuming your application was completed on time and you submitted all of the required information. I haven’t seen anything official from the Covenant program yet. Good luck. What an incredible program!

I just checked, and nothing on mine has changed. I’m still waiting for my tax transcripts to be available though. Do you think that’s it? I know that my financial aid package should change a lot from the estimates, but I guess I’ll have to wait a while longer.

Yes, they may be waiting for any missing information. I was told they don’t send out final packages until your file is complete. Once all our docs were in, it was less than a week for the file to update. Give them a call to confirm what they are waiting for. Hang in there.

Well at least once I get my stuff in it won’t take too long. Thank you so much! I did talk to them today, and they said as long as nothing changes I will be in the program.

That’s great news. Hopefully you’ll hear something before the 1st.

Thank you. I really hope so.

Just got my award decision…I’m an OOS transfer…federal grants & loans are all added into the total award…meets 98% of estimated costs with tuition being 100% covered by school grants. UNC was very generous for a public school dealing w/an OOS applicant
