<p>I applied but I haven’t heard yet whether I’ve been accepted or not! They said they’d let us know in mid-june.</p>
<p>Just got an email (it was caught in my spam folder) that the decisions will be released “on or before” June 15th.</p>
<p>The subject threw me off-- it said “Carolina kickoff acceptance” but it was actually not an acceptance at all, just a notification of the deadline. sad.</p>
<p>Camico, I feel your pain. I viewed it on my phone, so it took a little while to load… when I saw that it said “Carolina kickoff acceptance” I got all excited, only to be disappointed by what was written 
I’m really worried that I’m not going to get in, I feel like I rushed through the application since it was midnight, and I had the SAT that day.</p>
<p>Seeing as how there are only 175 spots and 400 applicants how do you think they decide who gets picked? I feel like my essay question responses were pretty good but idk…</p>
<p>^ According to my friend who got in last year, she said that they’re looking for people who really need the couple extra days on campus-- ie more out of staters and people who aren’t close by to UNC. That, and the people who had the best applications (best essays, spent the most time, etc.) will probably get in. </p>
<p>I hope I get it! Auburn- I had the SAT that day too, so I went to bed early like always and filled it out in the morning. I hope they don’t count that against me!</p>
<p>Aww, I live within 40 minutes to the school. I doubt I’ll get in then, my essays were good but not great, I also had SAT that day. :P</p>
<p>Well, don’t give up hope yet! I bet a bunch of people didn’t really fill out the questions (or only wrote one or two lines), so I think a ton of applications won’t be very strong.</p>
<p>I wrote like a paragraph each, but I don’t think they’re looking for amazing essays as much as amazing answers. What did you guys put for best joke?</p>
<p>I was totally sleep-addled when I wrote mine, and I totally blanked! I just ended up writing a vaguely amusing anecdote, but-- err, it wasn’t really a joke.</p>

<p>No news here at all. Two guys from Raleigh posted that they got in. Not looking so good, I guess :(</p>
<p>me neither. I said that they could teach me to dance in hopes that they would jump on that opportunity, but nope. sigh</p>
<p>I GOT IN!!! Check your mailboxes! (I think they’re sending out acceptances in batches, so be patient!)</p>
