CAS Likely Letter

I got my likely letter today! I was very surprised, but it's exciting nonetheless. I'm not a full URM... my dad is of the old New England variety, but my mom is from South America.

Does anyone know how many likely letters are being sent out?

I dunno how many letters were sent out...maybe 200, like the diversity email (I actually didn't get the e-mail, even though I got a letter...weird).

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever heard of anyone being rejected/waitlisted after receiving a likely? I'd rather not get my hopes up (yeah, I'm a bit of a pessimist lol).

I got a letter (not URM, asian). Mine doesn't say anything about diversity though and the contact isn't diversity@cornell.edu. It's dated 03/14 so I guess this is part of another batch?

Congrats. Are you planning to go?

On the Dartmouth thread, there was mentioning of three batches of likely letters being sent out. Does anyone know anything about how many/when Cornell likely letters will be sent? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

anybody on the west coast received the cas likely letter yet?

also, does not receiving the likely letter mean your chance of getting into CAS is very low?

I got an likely letter today in the mail...
but i'm like in shock...and disbelief..
is a likely letter pretty much a guarentee that you've been accepted?

=/...I haven't received any type of mail from Cornell since the letter stating that they received my application.

I can say the same about me. The only difference is mine is from the Engineering Department.
