CAS orientation

can any CAS students who attended the orientation please tell me about it...like how was it, what did you guys do? I'm not going until August, I just want an idea of what it'll be like.

I'm going to be a junior so this isn't exactly what you're looking for but since no one has answered...

During orientation, you usually take placement exams (math or foreign language), meet with advisors, learn how to register on albert and register (with orientation leaders), hear the dean/department chair/whoever give a kind of welcome speech, visit the dining halls and eat there with other students and get to know them, there is a "dance"/party, and depending on things, you may have some free time to check out the city

thank you, I hear it's a lot of fun

My son is there now. My husband just went to pick him up. I will have him leave a detailed message about it when he gets home! He is having a really good time. The only complaint he has had was that he wished he had bought his own pillow! lol

I would also like to know, daughter wiil be there next week.

oh, nyuparent, did you attend the parent orientation?
