CAS vs Tandon vs LSP

Please rank in order of which is easiest to get into. I am especially interested in learning whether to apply to Tandon or CAS based on which is easier to get into.

Tandon>CAS>LSP

In 2013, Tandon was not part of NYU… so those 2013 statistics are inaccurate. For last year and this year, I have official statistics from the open house video on YT of NYU which tell that the Tandon acceptance rate last year was 35% (=NYU acceptance rate last year) and this year it is considerably lower as the number of applications have shot up and NYU in fact received it’s highest number of applications. This year it’s probably in the upper 20s or in the lower 30s. Around 30% (=NYU acceptance rate this year). CAS on the other hand is a larger school and has a larger student population and hence has a higher acceptance rate than Tandon but lower than LSP

What’s the major you are interested in?

CAS has had a lower acceptance rate than Poly in past years. The acceptance rate has nothing to do with the size of the school. Poly has been historically easier to get into.

“historically”.
Historically, “Poly” was never part of NYU. NYU bought Poly in 2014 and now it became Tandon, which is harder to get into. Why do people have a problem with accepting facts backed with data? OMG.

Because the data that you are citing is wrong. Poly was INDEED a part of NYU. That’s why 2014 Poly graduates were part of the NYU 2014 commencement ceremony. The integration of Poly into NYU started way back in 2010, and Poly became an official school in 2014. How do we know it has been historically easier to get into? Because numerical acceptance rates back that up, and because in past years, many applicants to CAS were rejected from CAS and offered acceptance to Poly without ever directly applying to Poly. Sheesh. I don’t normally respond to posts like this, but I want these threads to contain the most accurate info possible for people applying/considering applying.
