Hello! My first post here. I am super close to submitting my transfer application to Case. Is there anyone who has transferred to Case and is currently attending or is attending Case the 2018 school year as a transfer student that could answer a few questions for me?
I am super concerned about the financial aid Case will offer me… If any. I have heard that Case is generally super generous to regular admits but… I’m not quite sure about transfer students.
I don’t really have a specific questions, actually. I’m just curious. This may be a difficult question to answer. I am aware that every situation is different and that people have different incomes so it may not be applicable to me… but I’m just worried. Even though I don’t even know if I’ll be accepted or not.
@jieun24 Case Western is very generous when it comes to need based aid(which is usually a combo of grants, loans, and work study) . They require the CSS Profile so they really dig into your parent’s income and assets. Your parents expected family contribution may surprise you. As far as merit based aid, they are generous to transfer students in the same way they are generous to first year students. That is to say they give merit aid to the top applicants, not to everybody. So if you want to know if you should expect merit aid you need to figure out where your stats fall in line with the rest of the transfer applicants. Just being accepted does not automatically get you merit aid.
