General Comments:
I’m visiting Case March 24th and I’m soooooo excited!!

Does the scholarship $ which accepted students are positing on this thread include just merit or need-based as well?

@guppie I am pretty sure the scholarships posted here are all merit based. I don’t believe the FA offers have gone out yet.

from reading this thread and others, I believe everything posted here is Merit based… but if you completed the CSS profile and you click on the second (or third letter) listed in the portal it will list all the financial aid you are eligible for… Student Loans, grants, PLUS Loans, etc. But, only if you completed and submitted the CSS profile when you applied.

Am I correct in thinking that might evolve when FAFSA is submitted?

I got my need-based aid in my letter

I turned in my CSS profile with my application and I also got need-based aid in my second letter.

@porcupine98 If I understood everything correctly at the open house we attended, the CSS profile is used to determine aid during early action (and maybe regular decision too?) but the FASFA is also required to be completed when it becomes available in the spring. I believe the financial aid amounts could be adjusted if the FASFA and CSS profile numbers are different, but the CSS profile does ask you to project what your year end income will be so it sounds like most of the time they lineup similarly.

Yo guys, I didn’t submit CSS Profile in time. If I complete FAFSA, will I still be eligible for a FA package from case? Or is it too late

@AtharvaLarva I would contact the school either via email or phone call and ask them directly.

I read on their website that you can definitely still apply for financial aid. The CSS profile helps them to project the amount of Aid you might get when you apply EA/ED, but everyone applying for aid- including those who already received the letters with the ED/EA admission and others applying RD-- will need to complete the FASFA and the brief CWRU application for fincial aid form in the coming weeks. But I think Smokinact is correct, contacting CWRU financial aid office is a good idea.

[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I really don’t know. I originally decided to apply to this place as a safety school after seeing what sort of scholarships they gave out. I only found out after doing some research how high caliber this place was. I thought I was going to be outright rejected, but I was surprisingly accepted with at 28,000 scholarship.

**General Comments: **

In all likelihood I will go to UM if I get accepted. I applied to this place as a second thought, so I apologize if my application edged out applications of people who really want to go!. Good luck to those who were deferred!
