I got a really bad grade on a quiz so i scanned it and edited out all my work and reprinted it. Then i answered it and forged a grade at the top. Then i went to my teacher after class and said that she gave me a wrong grade and showed her my edited quiz. She immediately said that it was a fake and said that she was going to report to the assistant principal and that it would go on my record. She said she was going to keep my original grade instead of giving me a 0. How bad is this? What is the worse that can happen? How is this going to affect my college applications?

witht he recent harvard cheating scandal i think a lot of schools are going to look down upon this!

:O. I’m not sure if colleges see your permanent record, they might. If they do, you should explain it in the additional information or something, don’t make any excuses and show your remorse.

i’ve have read that colleges dont check for disciplinary actions, only criminal actions, is this true?

First of all, you are an idiot and a loser for trying to change your grade unfairly. You didn’t earn it, so suck it up.

Now to answer your question… The common app asks: " Have you ever been found responsible for a disciplinary violation at any educational institution you have attended from the 9th grade (or the international equivalent) forward, whether related to academic misconduct or behavioral misconduct, that resulted in a disciplinary action? These actions could include, but are not limited to: probation, suspension, removal, dismissal, or expulsion from the institution."

Your school councilor answers this as well.
