So in Spanish II i got caught cheating on a vocab quiz. i had an ipod nano watch which i loaded up pictures of the vocab words on to. my teacher saw me using it and asked me to take it off. i did and then i finsihed the quiz. then he took that quiz and gave me a blank new one. i knew most of the words and completed the new one but i missed acouple and probably had some misspellings. he didnt talk to me after class or anything. what will happen now? will this go on my transcript? will i get suspended? he doesnt know for sure that i had cheated but comparing to 2 quizes i probably got 100% on the first one and 80% on the second....

If he knew you were cheating, chances are you’ll receive a 0% on the quiz and a detention. As far as going on your transcript, you’ll have to check your school’s policy. Next time, take the 80% or just spend 20 minutes memorizing the words. Of all the things you could cheat on, Spanish would have to be the silliest.

Cheating’s a very serious matter, so you shouldn’t do it going forward. I’m sure he knew you cheated. What will happen depends on your school’s policy and the teacher’s leniency/attitude towards you.

Why are you asking here what your teacher will do? Why don’t you ask him?

I’m not detecting much remorse here - rather it’s more about this is a regular thing, I got caught, bummer, what are the consequences? This was a pretty deliberate cheating attempt on a minor quiz. I can only imagine what OP does on more important tests.

Personally, I think the only punishment should be the OP has to wear a Scarlet “C” so all the teachers know to watch him/her in all their other classes. Karma is a b*tch.
