My daughter applied to the CBS (genetics) with a second choice of CLA (psychology). She submitted her app in August but it was not complete until 10/11ish. She has a 3.68(uw)/4.45 (w) GPA, but only a 26 ACT. She has many ECs, honor society memberships, volunteer work, leadership, etc as well as being OOS with her whole extended family having gone to UMN. She is a first generation student for our family.

Have many people been accepted to CBS yet? I’ve only seen a few on here. Do you think her only chance of acceptance with be into CLA?

As it stands she’s good for CLA based on her stats. However, the first gen. will help a lot, and the legacy to some extent, for the more selective college. Fingers crossed for her!

My daughter was admitted to CBS earlier this fall. Her unweighted GPA is 3.98 and ACT is 33.
