I would like to know what CBSE 11th and 12th first term percentage is required(or expected) by top universities in the USA such as Uchicago,UCLA,UCB,Princeton etc… How do these numbers vary for other good universities like UMich,Purdue,UW Madison,UT Austin,UCSD
I got 86% in class 11 Cbse and 85% in class 12 first term.I got no Bs in class 11 but I got two Bs in my 12th first term.
I understand that the admission process involves much more than just grades.But,I’d like to know how much these grades would hurt my chances to getting accepting by these universities.
BTW,I live in Abu Dhabi and plan to major in mathematics(96% in 11th and 99% in 12th first term)
I’ve been informed that one needs to get atleast a percentage of 92% in 12th first term to have any chances of getting accepted to top colleges.Is this true?
There isn’t a minimum score you’ve to have in order to apply. Also, you have to take the SAT and score at least in the 25th percentile of the admitted students in the universities you’re applying to to be seriously considered. Unlike the Indian system of college admissions, the US system is very holistic- in addition to good grades and test scores (SAT, ACT, etc), you’ve to have great extra curriculars and honors, especially for schools like Princeton.
