I’ll be a freshman at IU in fall 2017. I wasn’t able to be a DA into Kelley. What classes should I take this summer @ CC this summer to help me boost my chances to get into Kelley?
Are you coming in with any credits? Lots of students struggle with M118 (finite math) W131 (English composition) and M119 (calc). If you are better at math, W131 will likely be more challenging, and if you are better at English, the math classes will probably be more challenging.
Do standard admits have to take a certain number of courses at IU to apply to Kelley?
I’ll come in with some foreign language credits, psych, and possibly chem and Calc (if I pass the AP tests)
Here are the rules for standard admits. In short - yes there are certain classes that must be taken at IU

Did you test out of anything? Dual enrollment? Good pre-classes to take would be accounting, english 131 and finite 118 or 119. Most classes must be taken at Kelley so don’t worry you’ll be fine. If you have never had accounting this is a 8 week course. Lecture only. Quizes and tests. That’s it so if you don’t understand accounting it can be tough, would highly recommend a beginner class before you get to IU. 1/2 the class took a W after the first quiz because they failed.
