CC students accepted?

Any community college students who have been admitted to well-known and decent universities? List your GPA's & intended major? Did you transfer after one year or two?

Well, there are going to be a ton of CCC students getting into great universities come May. I'm a CC student and have been accepted to Washington University in St. Louis. Uh...

GPA: 3.92
Major: Economics / Philosophy
Two years

wow brand, you be slacking.

lol that B in Biology was killer.

Owwwww, yet another reason not to take Bio.

yeah took it as a requirement for Cornell CALS and ended up not applying to Cornell anyways. I wonder what might have been if I'd taken Physics instead. Oh well.

brand, u totally screwed.

you KNOW how much biology matters to economics and philosophy... tsk tsk...

yeah, you're going to get rejected from all colleges now. thats hwat you get for slacking. third year in community college for you!

Im taking bio right now :(

lol see a couple weeks ago those words would have mattered ;)

bio is mostly memorization. Brand you should have taken physics, prbly would have made an A. If you're any good at math, you should be fine in physics. Any people who were accepted after one year of CC?

Brand, what community college did you to?

don't worry, they still have time to rescind!

i kid, i kid.

LOL! I'm coming after you if that happens hobo!

Ballin - I agree. I'm much better in math than science (memorization of millions of terms) and wanted to do Physics. Bleh.

Hazarrrd - I go to Montgomery Community College...near Houston, Texas.

I'm coming from a CC in maryland.

I just got into Wisconsin-madison...deferred at michigan waiting to hear from chapel hill

you guys don't sound like science major students.
Anyway, if you don't like memorization, stay away from science courses. YOu think bio is hard? TRY BIOCHEM and ORGO CHEM, compare to those to, BIO is like a walk in the park

Yep...you're right. ;)

I'm an econ major as well. Got a B in Art history and Freshmen Comp my first semester =(

Brand, you'd probably have been better off with physics, it's all conceptual! almost 0 memorization!!!

I know. For a long time, the fact that I'd taken Bio solely for Cornell was the last remaining reason for me to apply there, but I finally let it go. :)
